Consumer Directed Services

The Consumer Directed Services (CDS) Program is a program that allows an individual to direct his or her own personal care services at NO cost to the consumer/client. Consumer Directed Services is a MO Healthnet/Medicaid funded program which enables physically disabled individuals to continue to live independently within their own home with home care. For those who are able to self-direct their medical care, CDS may be the best option for you! CDS empowers  the Consumer/Client to remain in control of their lives by giving them the freedom to choose their own caregiver. The caregiver may be a friend or family member, other than a spouse.

This freedom of choice gives individuals peace of mind knowing that their personal care assistance and assistance with activities of daily living are being done by someone that they know and trust.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be  Medicaid Eligible 
  • Meet the level of care requirement set by DHSS
  • Be capable of living independently with personal services as determined by the state
  • Be physically disabled and/or chronic medical condition that interfere with daily living
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be able and willing to direct his/her own care 
  • Able and willing to recruit, hire, and manage attendants

Home Care Services for Veterans and Surviving Spouses

Aid and attendance is a tax-free benefit distributed to eligible honorably discharged veterans or their surviving spouses. Those approved for benefits will receive a monthly check as a reimbursement for the cost of acceptable medical expenses from Veterans Administration. Home care services are an acceptable medical expense.

  • Medication Reminders
  • Bathing/Hygiene/Grooming

Pediatric and Adolescent In-home and Community Services

Our role is to apply interventions & strategies to address each child in the context of her/his family by allowing a non-immediate family member to provide a person centered care plan that directly meets the needs of the child within Medicaid guidelines.

  • The child’s advocate will assist with medication reminders, bathing, getting dressed & doing their personal hygiene. While educating the on the importance of ensuring their hygiene needs are met before leaving the house.

  • This is a kid focused program that improves the lives of children and their families. We also offer additional resources to provide support for a better lifestyle.
